Sleepless nights, bottle, burping, but loving every minute of it!

Sleepless nights, bottle, burping, but loving every minute of it! That is my new motto!! Actually Xander is doing much better with his sleeping!! He is finally getting his nights and days fixed! Last night I got 5 or 6 hours of sleep STRAIGHT before he woke up at about 3:30 or 4:00!! It was awesome!! Strider put him down for the night and I was already asleep and it felt great to get some rest! And I should be sleeping, well, napping, right now since he is napping, but I felt like I needed to update the blogging world! :) We are all doing well though. Tomorrow Xander has his 2 week check up and I am nervous/anxious to know how much he weighs now!! He eats ALL THE TIME! LOL!! :) Hopefully he is gaining weight like he should be!

Just hanging out! He's my wrinkly old man! :)

We also started "Tummy Time!" Grandma Steele got him this really fun play gym that has a stuffed elephant for tummy time!! I don't think he is quiet ready to do it on the elephant though because he keep rolling off to the side!! He is actually very good about lifting up his head and kinda looking around already! And he seems to enjoy tummy time way better than Breckyn did!! She screamed the whole ten minutes we did it with her! LOL!! He is more mellow and relaxed about it! LOL!!

2 Year Check up!

I just realized I forgot to update everyone on Breckyn's 2 year check up!! Well, she is very advanced in her "language and understanding" the pediatrician said!! She said some of the things Breckyn says and does are 3-4 year old developmental skills!! I knew she was a genius and if you ask her dad he would say, "Was there any doubt? Look at her Father!" LOL!! But she was in the 70% for weight!! We finally made it! LOL!! And 65% for height! So, they were predicting her to be about 5'8"or 5'9" if you got by what the pediatrician called "the old grandmother's tale!" Doubt their height at age 2 and that will be their adult height! I guess only time will tell! :) But we are glad to say she is 110% healthy and handled her shots really well! :) She got even got a flu shot and Mommy got one too!! So, hopefully we will have a "flu free" house this winter!! I am still in negotiations with her Father about HIS flu shot though!

She is getting so big she can touch the ceiling! (With a little help from Uncle Sherman!)

2nd Birthday Blast!

Well, my baby girl is now two! UGH! The last two years have gone by so quickly and she has grown up so much! I want to rewind time to when she was first born and wanted to snuggle with me!! :) Her birthday party was kinda hit and miss!! She slept for the first hour and then was a grouch for the next hour! LOL!! But once we started opening presents she was as good as gold!!! :)

Her Wagon from Grandma and Grandpa Pike! She LOVES this thing!! As you can tell she is waving to her adoring public!!

Her tunnel that Uncle Sherman and Kyle got her!!

HE IS HERE!!

XANDER BLAKE STEELE
8:45AM on 9/17/2010
7lbs 5oz
20 1/2 Inches Long
Perfect in every way! I was scheduled for my C-section on 9/17/10 at 8:30AM, but Xander had other plans!! I actually went into LABOR!!! LOL!!! About 3:30AM on Friday I woke Strider up and told him it was time to go!! So, to the hospital we went!!! But they went ahead and just kept my scheduled time because it was so early in the morning anyways!! So, after 9 months of waiting I FINALLY got to meet him!!! And he is a spitting image of Breckyn when she was born, which also means, a spitting image of Strider!

Big Sister Breckyn helping cover him up!

Making sure he is going to be snug and warm!

Hmmm.... So much to think about!

T-MINUS 1 DAY!

Today was my last day as a Mommy of ONE!!!! I had major "nesting" today!! I cleaned the whole house, ate lunch with some friends, wrapped Birthday presents for Breckyn, and got soem errands ran! I am pretty proud of myself considering it is almost 3:00PM now!!! I got a ton done!!!

We have had a lot of fun the last few days wiht Breckyn! She has been so funny!! She found some of her Daddy's swim goggles and watching her trying to put them on was a show in itself!! But, once she got them on she was so proud of herself! :)

T-MINUS 3 DAYS!!!!

Tomorrow is my last official day at work!! WHOHOO!! And then Thursday is a day to clean, relax and have some ME TIME!!! :) And then Friday is the BIG DAY!!!!!! Also I had a Dr Appointment today. After my adventure at Labor and Delivery yesterday I was HOPING for some kind of progress, but nothing. This boy sure is STUBBORN like his DAD! So, after having contractions that were measuring 3-5 minutes apart I just was NOT dilating! So, they sent me home! And all night last night I had contractions and ALL DAY today at work I had contractions! Do you see a pattern here? Anyways, my C-section was scheduled for Friday at 1pm, but I got the BEST call from my Dr today (after my appointment) asking me, "Do you think you could have your baby at 8:30 in the morning Friday?" SHOUTING I replied, "YES!!" I am so excited!! Even though we have to be at the hospital at 6:00 AM now, I am going to be holding my SON BY 9:00 in the morning!!! WHOHOO!!!!!

Breckyn's 2 year pictures

We took Breckyn last weekend to get her 2 year pictures and they didn't quiet go as planned! She did NOT want to smile, but I am sure since we had to wait an hour because they were running behind, that didn't help! But here a few of the "better" pics. I was NOT happy with any of them, so its a good thing she is so cute! :)

Still waiting.....

I am 38 weeks and going strong!! At my last Dr. Appointment she said I was NOT progressing. Blah! But it doesn't really matter a whole lot because in one week Baby Xander will be here regardless! :) So, that gives us a week to be fully prepared! But really, is anyone prepared 100%? LOL!!! I am excited to see if he looks anything like me, especially since those Steele genes are pretty strong!!!!

38 Weeks

Breckyn was helping me "clean" baby Xander's room today and decided she wanted to give him a hug, so I couldn't resist catching the moment with a picture! :)
