Shopping for a Brother!

Breckyn came into the living room with a baseball helmet on, pushing her shopping cart with toys and stuff animals in it.

This is how it started.

Then she told me this:

"Mommy, I want to push baby brother in my cart."

He had a good time having his big sister "push" (which was only inches!) him around!

I think he realized that this picture could come back to haunt him when he is around 16 or 17!!! :)

Beautiful Weather, Beautiful Kids!!

It was so beautiful outside yesterday we decided to go play!!! Breckyn LOVES being outside and Xander has a new LOVE for the outdoors!!!! :)

Driving her "Car!"

My Smiley little man! It wasn't cold, but he has an ear infection, and the wind was blowing a bit, so I wanted to be on the safe side and cover those things up! :)

When One Door Closes A Better One Opens!

Back on the 10th of January I was laid off from OCCMD, where I had worked for 2 years. I really enjoyed working there and loved the girls I worked with!! They were always so much fun! So, naturally I was super sad when it happened. On top of the general stress of being laid off I went home and worked on my resume ASAP. I started applying for jobs right away. I had multiple interviews with staffing firms, and some actual jobs. And I always felt as if they all went well. But last Monday (the 7th) I had an interview with an independent insurance company. The interview went AMAZING and I felt confident I had got the job. When I got home I had an e-mail form another company, Kimbley-Horn, about coming in for an interview. I went ahead and scheduled the interview for Thursday because I figured I would head something by then from the other job and then I could cancel this interview if he did offer me the job. Well, Tuesday came and went, and then Wed, and I decided I was going to go to the interview anyways.

So, I got all ready and headed out for the interview. I wasn't sure how I thought it was going but I knew I really liked the company. Also, I didn't want to get my hopes up either. So, after the interview I headed home only to get a call saying Xander was running a fever. Ugh. So I took him to the doctor right away. He ended up having an ear infection and got some antibiotics. On the way home from the doctor I got a call from Kimbley-Horn! They offered me the job!!!! The pay, benefits, ect. are all amazing!!! I couldn't believe it!!! WHOHOO!! So, now I could enjoy my time at home visiting friends/family without stressing out to bad! Pending m drug test and background check I am scheduled to start the 21st!!!! Right before my birthday! :) Happy Birthday to me! :) So, wish me luck and I am so excited about this job!

Adventures in Kansas-land!

Well, I have officially made my first trip to Ks with just the kids and myself!!! They were both so good too!! We started off on Friday and headed to Wichita to stay with my brother-in-law Friday and Saturday. Breckyn was so excited to see Uncle Shermy, too!

Chasing Uncle Shermy!

So bright and early on Saturday Xander and I took off to the great city of Manhattan to help out my friend Lindsay since she was in a bad car wreck. She has a bad broken leg that required surgery! So, I helped her out all day by cooking, cleaning, ect. And she helped out by hanging out with Xander!! I also got to see Sierra Rapp, and Callie Vessar who use to twirl with me with Shannon's Stars and I also taught Sierra!!! I call Sierra my Mini Me! :) I also got to see Jessica Tracz (my old Band director at KSU Dr. Tracz's daughter) who I use to teach and a former KSU twirler as well! :)

He sure loves his Aunt Lindsay!

While we were playing maid in Manhattan, Breckyn got to hang out with Sherman all day!!!

Doing Uncle Shermy's hair

So, Sunday after lunch we headed to Girard to see my family. We had a great time!!! Xander loved hanging out with Grandpa! :) I got to go see my Uncle Paul who has been in the hospital since December 30th. He still has a long road ahead of him for recovery, but he was awake and "talked" (he has a trech so he can't actually talk) and my Aunt Rosie read his lips. It was hard seeing him laying in a hospital bed when I am use to see him strong and talking sports! So we stayed until Tuesday when I had to come back to Dallas to take my drug test for my new job today (Wed). I hadn't planned on going home until Wed, but I needed to get the test done so I can start on Monday!!! But that is a whole different blog! LOL!!

So, we had a great time with friends and family this past weekend and I can't wait to go back and see everyone again

Silly Girl!

Just some cute pictures!

Happy Birthday to you!

The other day Breckyn and I made cupcakes, or as she calls them, "Happy Birthday to you!" She was so funny while she was helping me!! I let her put the cupcake papers in the pan and she even got to lick to the spoon, which she loved!! Then she started sticking her finger in the cupcakes and licking the batter!! LOL!! We had so much fun that Breckyn needed a Bath afterwards! LOL!

CABIN FEVER PLUS SOME!

Well for the past five days we have been stuck inside because of the horrible ice down here!!! With a two year old and an infant that doesn't make for a whole lot of options!! I don't think I have ever been so sick and tired of Tinkerbell, Mickey Mouse, and Shrek as I am now!! WOW!! So FINALLY yesterday I took Breckyn out in the snow!!! We only said outside for a short time because it was so cold, but she had fun while it lasted! :) Hopefully today I can get our wonderful neighbor to come over to watch the kids so I can go to the store so we can have some food! LOL!!

Making a snowball!

Walking around!
