Swimming Time!

Strider, Breckyn, and I relaxed in the pool today!!! YEP, I SAID POOL!!! He finally got our little pool put up and it feels soooo nice to get in it! :) Breckyn LOVES being in the pool and in water in general!! Strider was trying to teach her to swim today! :)

Weekend at the Cabin

Strider, Breckyn, and I made the LONG (LONG LONG LONG) journey up north to stay at the Steele cabin in Scott City, Ks! We had such a great time hanging out with the family!! Breckyn got to "help" take care of baby Pearl (our newest neice) and was a big help making breakfast in the morning! One of the highlights of the trip was Breckyn's first time to fishing!! And just like her Daddy she LOVED it and got to use her new fishing pole from Great Grandpa Travis! However, Uncle Shermy let her "hold" the worms, and they almost ended up as her dinner! LOL!! Good thing Uncle Sherman has quick reflexes!!! It was a nice relaxing mini vacation!! We didn't do a whole lot and that was OK by me!!!

We Sing in Sillyville

So, about a month ago I bought Breckyn "We Sing in Sillyville" which is a movie I use to watch when I was in grade school!!! And I can remember sitting in Mrs. Cooke's music class praying we were going to watch it!! LOL!! I thought she would LOVE it becuase it has so many fun songs and they have lots of hand movements wiht them. Little did I know HOW MUCH she was going to like it!!! Its usually a given that we watch it first thing in the morning when she wakes up, and DEFINATELY right when she gets home from daycare!!! I would guess on an average we watch "Rumble Rumble," which is what Breckyn calls it becuase of her FAVORITE song in it, about 5 times a day!!! UGH! I cannot get her to watch any cartoons or learning programs on TV, but she will sit for an HOUR and watch this movie!!!! I was so excited to get this movie for her, but definately regretting it now. I have even found myself at working singing the "Sillyville" songs in my head!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH! However, I would recommend this movie to anyone with toddlers!!

The Great Room Swap has Begun!

Strider and I started to switch all the furniture around from Breckyn's room to the new nursery!!! Which means, BRECKYN GOT A NEW BED!!! :) It's so cute!!!! And it has a trundle, and I like to think its PERFECT! I found it on Craig's List! I LOVE Craig's List! LOL!!!

So after ALL day Saturday and running around the metroplex we finally got home and took apart her crib, moved it to the new nursery/guest room, and put it back together. With all sorts of help from Breckyn! LOL!! She LOVED "helping" take out screws! :)

Then all day Sunday we spent cleaning out BOTH rooms and switching Furniture around and getting rid of TONS of stuff. I think Strider ended up taking about 7 bags of clothes, random household decorations, and tons of other stuff to the Good Will donation!!! I feel "cleansed" by the whole process! LOL!! It feels good to get rid of stuff you haven't used in FIVE YEARS! LOL!! But the best part is that Strider is finally getting rid of that stupid brown leather couch! WHOHOO!!! It's been in Breckyn's room since before she was born! I am THRILLED to get it out of here!

So The new nursery will have one purple Wall, with a BIG WHITE POWERCAT in the center!! :) I can't wait! Hopefully by this weekend we will have a great start on it, and possibly finish it!! :) YEAH!

Memorial Day Weekend

Our memorial day weekend was fun, but not exactly what we planned on originally. Strider's Grandpa Phil got pretty sick and was in the Wichita Hospital, so we decided to change our trip plans to be able to go to Wichita and see him, Grandma and the rest of the clan. It's never a dull moment when we are all together!!

I FINALLY got to meet my new niece Pearl, and she was as perfect as I thought she would be!! Breckyn loved giving her kisses and even tried to put her Chapstick on Pearl!! LOL!!! I have no doubt in my mind that Breckyn is going to be a great big sister now!!!!

We spent a lot of our time at the hospital visiting Grandpa Phil and Breckyn loved telling him "Love you!" LOL!! She sure brightened up his day!

We did make it out to eat Olive Garden for dinner one night and Breckyn REALLY REALLY enjoyed the salad there!!! I am not sure who actually ate more, her or Grandpa?!

We ended our last night in Wichita by eating dinner with Sherman and his girlfriend Kyle! Breckyn had her "Sherman Gene" out and ready to go when Uncle Shermy showed up at TGI Friday's! She LOVES her uncle Shermy and always makes us laugh when she is trying to impress him! She even told him "Oh, Shermy!"

She is such a hoot anymore! She talks so much now and even sings "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Twinkle Twinkle." And today on the way back to Dallas she said, "Yeah Baby!" Where did she come up with that?! LOL!!!
