Mama's little helper!

This past weekend Breckyn and I got to have Mama Breckyn day!! Strider went off to the lake with a couple friends from work Friday night and came home Saturday afternoon. So, of course, Breckyn and I did tons of shopping and cleaning! LOL!! She was such a BIG help when it came to cleaning!!! I couldn't' have done it without her! ;)

We started out going to the Allen Outlet Mall and I got her some long sleeve shirts and we got Baby Peal (her cousin) a few really cute outfits too!!! Then we met Joan (who was the one in the Room with me when I had Breckyn!) for lunch at Chili's! Breckyn was actually in a pretty good mood and did really well, with NO major meltdowns!! :) So, that made Mama REALLY happy! :) And it didn't take her but 5minutes to fall asleep once we were in the car heading back home! LOL!!!

So after her nap, we cleaned the WHOLE house!! She helped me pick her toys up and put them away and she was a HUGE help with the laundry!! She LOVES putting the clothes into the dryer! I would pull them from the washer and set them on the door of the dryer and she would push them in! But she was an even BIGGER help PULLING THEM OUT OF THE DRYER!!! That helped me TONS, seeing how my belly is getting bigger and its WAY harder for me to bend over these days! :) She also helped me fold the laundry and hang up the clothes! :)

We also put her new quilt on her bed that Grandma Pike got her!! It matches perfectly and breckyn LOVES the Flowers on the quilt!! So, with the new quilt we decided to see how she would do sleeping on the "big bed" instead of her trundle! She did GREAT! She didn't fall off or anything!! She is getting to be such a big girl!!!!!

Further than the Last!!!

I have offically made it further in this pregnancy than I did with Breckyn!! :) I delivered Breckyn at 35 weeks 2days. And right now I am starring 36 weeks pregnant in the EYES! LOL!! Which means.... THREE WEEKS until the big arrival (unless he comes sooner)! But, right now I feel good and feel like he is growing and itching to get out! LOL!! Or at least my ribs think he is ready! Actually, ribs, bladder, whole left side! LOL! I think my whole body is ready! He seems to enjoy my ribs and left side more than anything these days! And he takes after his sister because he is a mover and a shaker for sure!!!!

The nursery is coming along really well and is almost finished!! I think I may actually finish it this weekend while Strider is out of town! I will have tons of help from Breckyn too! :) We FINALLY got our KSU beat KU (basketball) newspaper cover framed and ready to hang too!

I am kinda looking forward to a Mommy and Breckyn weekend too! I think we will go to the Allen outlet Mall and try to find her a "big Sister" shirt for her to be able to wear when little brother comes!

Speaking of my little man, he offically has a NAME!!! Yep, you read it correctly!!! Xander Blake Steele will be the newest Steele in our family! Strider came up with Xander and I loved Blake! So, we just put them together! Now I feel like I can offically have this baby and not stress about him not having a name! :) After all, there are TONS of other things I can stress about now! :)

Let the Countdown Begin!!!

I am offically 34 weeks pregnant, meaning I have only FIVE weeks until my scheduled C-section! There is so much to do in the next five weeks! We got our swing and bouncy seat which is what I was most worried about getting! :) My bags are packed, the baby's bag is packed, and we are ready to go!! Now, if we only had a NAME for our little Man that would be the best thing! :)

I finally got started on organizing the nursery and getting everything washed and hung up! I am only 5 weeks from my scheduled C-Section and I FINALLY got started! LOL!! Nothing better than a little procrastination! :) Slowly but surely we are getting there though! There isn't anything up on the walls yet, but hopefully this weekend that will change! :)

Busy Weekend!

We left Dallas on Friday and got to Girard that night. Then on Saturday I had a great baby "Sprinkle" hosted by my friend Kaite Smithhisler, who is also very pregnant like me! :) I believe she is a couple weeks behind me and her son is just about Breckyn's age! :) It was a great day!! Strider's cousin Jas came down from Kansas City with her son Landon who is Breckyn's new
"Best Friend Forever" (which is what he told us!). I got to hang out with some great friends that I haven't seen in a while and it was so much fun!

Then Sunday we went to Eureka Springs AR for our friends' wedding! It was a lot of fun! Breckyn was the highlight of the party because she was dancing up a storm on the dance floor!!! The reception was outside and it was HOT HOT HOT! LOL!! But it was at a beautiful location and the Chapel was AMAZING! Our hotel, the Basin Hotel, was downtown and is the oldest hotel in Eureka Springs and so nice!!

Strider, Breckyn, and I relaxed in the pool today!!! YEP, I SAID POOL!!! He finally got our little pool put up and it feels soooo nice to get in it! :) Breckyn LOVES being in the pool and in water in general!! Strider was trying to teach her to swim today! :)

Weekend at the Cabin

Strider, Breckyn, and I made the LONG (LONG LONG LONG) journey up north to stay at the Steele cabin in Scott City, Ks! We had such a great time hanging out with the family!! Breckyn got to "help" take care of baby Pearl (our newest neice) and was a big help making breakfast in the morning! One of the highlights of the trip was Breckyn's first time to fishing!! And just like her Daddy she LOVED it and got to use her new fishing pole from Great Grandpa Travis! However, Uncle Shermy let her "hold" the worms, and they almost ended up as her dinner! LOL!! Good thing Uncle Sherman has quick reflexes!!! It was a nice relaxing mini vacation!! We didn't do a whole lot and that was OK by me!!!
