2nd Mother's Day in the Books! :)

Well, we had a great day!! And really it all started yesterday!! First off, Strider and I started our backyard renovations!!! We are added a flagstone walk way from our gate to the deck, and redoing the flowerbed, aka "Dogs napping spot." LOL!! So Strider worked really hard on that!! While I kept our little princess occupied!

Second, My sister in law, Morgan, went into labor at 6pm Saturday (May 8th)!!! Her water broke and they went to the hospital! She had a loonnnggg 20 hour labor but baby Pearl Harriett Hall made it into the world at 1:47pm May 9th, MOTHER'S DAY! She weighed in at 9lbs 4oz and was 22inches long!!! So, she is a big baby! :) Morgan and Pearl are both doing well, but Pearl did break her clavicle during delivery, but the docs say within 6 weeks she will be perfect!!! I have only seen text pictures so far, but I am hoping to be able to see her soon!!!!

As for MY Mother's Day, it started off with my jailbird breaking out of her bed again! LOL!! :) So, at 2am Breckyn and Mommy snuggled and TRIED to sleep, but I was so excited about my newest niece I could hardly sleep anyways! So, I watched a lot of Nick at Night! LOL!! So, we got up EARLY this morning and started getting ready for church!!! I taught the pre-schoolers Sunday School today, so our schedules were a little off today! :) I got a rose at church for Mother's Day and then we went to my favorite restaurant to eat lunch, Romas! YUM! Once we came home Breckyn and I took a nap and woke up to knowing that Strider and I were an Aunt and Uncle again! Breckyn made me the prettiest card too! It had nothing but pictures of her and her and I all over it!!! It was so beautiful!!! :) Finally, Strider cooked some chicken on the grill and we all settled in for the evening and watched TV!! Such a great day and I have to say that being a mom is the best thing in my life. I don't get paid, the hours are long, but the benefits are FAR better than any paying job could offer. I have to say thanks to the most beautiful little girl who has made my life so much better and worth living and she's only 19 months old! I look forward to many many more Mother's Day with my family!

Beary sleepy girl!

Last night Strider went fishing with a Rep and another guy, Juan, from his office and didn't get home until REALLY late. So, it was Mommy Breckyn day!! :) We went to the store, came home, ate dinner, played outside, and then took a Bath!! Which is by far Breckyn's Favorite thing to do!!!!!! So, after teh bath she had some milk and we snuggled and watched tv. I looked over at her a little bit later and this is what I saw:

Big Girl Bed!!!

Well we have officially been in our "big girl bed" for two weeks now!!!! She has only had one night that she "escaped!" LOL!! I have NO idea how she did it, but she did!! I woke up to a crying little girl slapping me in the face! LOL!! So, she got to cuddle with Mommy that night! :)

Our friends from San Antonio came up to visit us!! Byron and Saioa Clark just welcomed Aiden into their family Feb. 22!!! He is such a great baby and a cutie!! Breckyn wasn't real sure what to think of him and stayed away from him pretty much the whole time! LOL!!

And the baby is......

We had our ultrasound today and got some really exciting news!!! First off let me tell you that baby is 110% healthy!!! Also baby was moving ALL OVER the place!! Hands and feet were flying everywhere! LOL!! The sonograph lady couldn't tell for the longest time because the umbilical cord was between the legs and all around that area. So she went up to measure some other parts and saw the legs were open and when she got to that spot baby put covered the parts with two hands!!! So finally towards the end of the ultrasound the sonograph lady said, "I see boy parts, but you may want to have the Dr. check again, but I am about 95% sure it is a boy." So, the Dr. came and and got a GREAT shot of him!! I could definitely tell this one was a boy! So, our family is complete with a little girl, a little boy, and two dogs! :)

Summer Time Toys!

Breckyn got a new outside toy today!!! Grandma Steele bought it for her!! And its perfect and she LOVES it so much!!!! She screamed this evening when we made her come in and eat dinner!! LOL!! But, have no fear, she is back outside playing on it!!!

Baby Bump

Well, I haven't really taken any pictures of myself since I found out I was pregnant, mainly because I was not feeling well, and looked like I had been run over by a truck!!! I still look like I have been run over by a truck, but figured everyone would want to see the bump!!! I am 17 weeks and next Friday we will find if we will have to drag out all Breckyn's old clothes or if Baby #2 gets all new clothes!!!
